NVIDIA has added two new products to its GPU line up: the GeForce 6600 AGP and the GeForce 6800 LE PCI Express. The GeForce 6600 AGP features a 300 MHz core with 8 shader pipelines, 3 vertex units, a 128-bit memory interface, PureVideo technology, SM3.0, and superscalar architecture. The GeForce 6800 LE PCI Express offers a 325 MHz core, 300 MHz memory, 8 shader pipelines, 4 vertex units, 256-bit memory interface, PureVideo technology, and full SLI support.

Cristalink Limited has released a new version of Firestreamer-DV, software that converts Digital Video camcorders and VCRs into computer data storage devices. Firestreamer-DV integrates with the Windows Backup Utility (NTBackup) and Microsoft's Removable Storage Manager, enabling NTBackup to access DV recorders just like normal tape drives. The software supports media spanning and data compression, and can be used for backing up all types of documents and files, from personal e-mails and images to Microsoft SQL and Exchange databases.
